The calendar wasn't very kind to us in September - the public holiday fell on a weekend. But October and November are much more generous with the opportunity to go on a long weekend. And since we are lucky enough to live in the middle of Europe, we can easily go to one of the big European cities. Hopefully you have your hand luggage ready, because I do.
Paris
Autumn Paris is my favorite. The tourist crowds have thinned out, but the cafes and bakeries still welcome you with a croissant and café au lait (French for coffee with milk, as the waitress aggressively instructed me on my last visit when I ordered a black coffee with a little milk..). Stroll along the Seine, sit in a garden with a glass of wine and observe the surroundings, stop at the Jardin du Palais Royal with a hot chocolate in hand. And if the weather is good, cycle through Paris. And if it rains? Go to a museum or gallery, there is no shortage of them here.

Milan
If you're looking for a city where you can combine fashion, architecture and food, Milan is the place for you. There's really no rush here - just like everywhere in Italy. If you need to slow down, this is the destination for you. Start your morning with a run through Parco Sempione, and on the way home, have a cappuccino and a filled cornetto. Explore the Brera district, don't miss the Duomo or the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Sit down for a drink during aperitif and enjoy people-watching. And a bonus of the trip? The autumn window displays in Via Monte Napoleone will give you a clear idea of what's in fashion this year.
London
You will never get bored in London, because there is always something to discover. Welcome to the city where there is always something going on. The capital of England has countless green spaces, so I recommend starting the morning with a run or a walk. If you prefer to observe the panorama of the city, use the path around the Thames. Either way, I recommend one of the branches of the famous bakery and restaurant Jolene as a destination. If the weather is not in your favor, enjoy the day inside one of the many museums and then check out *gigs in London* in the afternoon – and maybe end the evening with a concert. London is an inspiration on every corner, and the autumn haze does not detract from its beauty at all.
Berlin
A city that is easy to get to for a long weekend even for those who are afraid of flying. Berlin is free, creative and a bit rough – it always depends on which neighborhood you are in. The ideal morning starts with breakfast in Sofi and continues with a walk through Mitte. Don't miss the local Booktherapy, a small bookstore do you read me?! If the weather is not in your favor, head to Museum Island, the so-called Museumsinsel, or check out the local branch of the Fotografiska gallery. Take home photos from the photo booths that can be found all over the city as souvenirs.
